The BAJS aims "to encourage Japanese studies in the UK, in particular by stimulating teaching and research".

The OAG aims to promote research on East Asian countries, especially Japan, by lectures and publications as well as by organzing excursions, functions and cultural events.

The EAJS is an Association of European Japanologists founded in 1976 to support the meeting and exchanging views of scholars of Japanese Studies. The EAJS holds triennial conferences to "catch up with research being carried on throughout Europe" and to provide "informal opportunities to get to know new entrants to the field."
On their website you will find extensive information on the Association itself, past conferences as well as publications and bulletins of the EAJS and a PhD database.
The NIAS is a "research and service institute with an international mandate and a focus on political, economic, business, social and cultural transformations in modern Asia in their historical contexts".
Their website offers links to current NIAS publications, information on Asia-related events in the Nordic region, an online catalogue of the NIAS library, news from the Institute as well as as information on all research activities.
The Société (French Society of Japanese Studies) aims to promote all studies, research and informations on Japan and the Japanese society, especially in cooperation with universitary and scientific organizations.
Their website offers information on conferences and symposia organized by the SFEJ, publications, the annual bulletin, an extensive collection of Japan-related links and links on Japanese studies in France and scholarships (under "Etudes japonaises").
